Support us as we embark on our youth-led and youth-run cultural arts center for queer youth!

THREEWINGS held our Open House for the new Queer Youth Space on August 3rd, 2012. The event provided an opportunity for us to showcase the space, to generate enthusiasm and continued community support, and for attendees to mingle and participate in the making of a mural. Live music was performed by our constituents in the venue next door to accommodate the large attendance. Our main program included speakers from the youth-led board of directors, adult allies who support the organization, our partners at the NW Network, and the deputy mayor of Seattle, who presented us with a proclamation of support from the office of the mayor.

We did it.

This is about way more than same sex marriage or military service. It is about young people being educators and advocates for themselves!

Signed the lease! Wow. This has been a two year search for a home for queer young people.

My name is Ryan, I’m a seventeen year old transboy.
It took me a while to find the balls to post this, but I want to share something with everyone.
I’m ashamed of my body, it’s all wrong and I’m uncomfortable in my own skin. It doesn’t match my mind, but over time it will.
Right now I’m pre-op and pre-t.
And I just want all the other transboys and transgirls out there to know that just because right now your body doesn’t match everything else, you’re still lads and lasses. Don’t spend all your time hating yourself, because you all look great and if by the end of today I’ve made at least one of you look in the mirror and see yourselves as handsome or beautiful, then I’ll be happy.
